Q: Am I able to change my screen name once I register?
A: Yes, you are... Click on Profile, and in the box where it says "Name:" you type in the screen name you want.
Q: Ok, I changed my name - and now it won't let me log in!
A: This isn't an error - it's just how the board works. To log in, you have to type in the name you chose when you first registered.
Q: How do I get an avatar?
A: Click on Profile (button @ the top) and scroll down to Personalized Picture. You can either chose the ones already there, or check the 'I have my own pic' box and type in a URL to another av.
Q: What is the limit for signatures?
A: As of right now, there's no established limit. However, the staff at the Void ask that you please refrain from using HUGE images that take forever to load (especially for those on 56K modems) and images that are so wide, that you have to scroll right for awhile to see the entire picture.
Q: What are Moderators?
A: Moderators control individual forums. They can edit, delete, or move any posts in their forums. If you have a question about a particular forum, you should direct it to your forum moderator.
Q: Can I edit my own posts?
A: You may edit your own posts at any time. Look for the Modify icon on the post to be edited. No one else can edit your post, except for the forum moderators or the Beat Void administrator. A note is generated at the bottom of each post that is edited so that every one knows when a post has been edited.
Q: Can I delete my own posts?
Yes, you can delete your posts - look for the Delete icon on your post. If your post was the start of a new topic, deleting your post will result in the removal of the entire topic (all replies after your topic will also be deleted).
Q: Can I attach files?
A: For security reasons, you may not attach files to any posts. You may cut and paste text into your post, however, or use UBB Code to provide hyperlinks to outside dosticky white pasteents.
Q: Are there any words censored?
A: Yes, the Beat Void administrator has the power to censor certain words that may be posted. This censoring is not an exact science, however, so certain words may be censored out of context.
