Yup, they're from somewhere in England, v.popular in the UK now ... songs are so catchy!!
Some good ones:
I Believe In a Thing Called Love Growing On Me Love Is Only a Feeling Givin' Up
All cheesy 80s-style guitar based stuff! I think they're trying to be Queen in their videos, heheh

I went to see these guys at my union a couple of months ago and they ROCKED!! They were named after the Paul McCartney song which is cool, and there's definitely a Beatles influence there! Ooh and the lead singer was cute Listen to their album, me loves it! Found this review... "Jet's debut album 'Get Born' is one of the most anticipated Aussie releases this year. This is the band who signed to a huge development deal with America's Elektra label last year and locally are tied to EMI. With big bucks behind the production of the album you should expect a first class production and you won't be wrong. So why all the excitement about Jet? Their sound is derivative, hardly original. Over the course of the 13 tracks you'll be reminded of AC/DC, Iggy Pop and The Stones time and time again. To understand the sound of 'Get Born', take you favourite 13 classic rock album, pick the best song from each and basically you have the template for Jet's album. 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl' is uncannily like Iggy Pop's 'Lust For Life' in feel. The guitar riffs of 'Last Chance' and 'Cold Hard biatch' will make Angus Young proud but my favourite is 'Move On'. Take one of those glorious Rolling Stones country ballad moments like 'Wild Horses' or 'Angie'. If Mick and Keith grew up in a Melbourne suburb, added an Australian iconic building into the lyrics (Flinders Street Station) and recreated the moment of the birth of 'Wild Horses' I am sure this is how it would have ended up sounding. 'Look What You've Done' slows right down to showcase a captivating Beatlesque moment by Nic Cester. The Beatles influence cannot be over-looked. Jet took their name from the Paul McCartney classic, but the ghost of John Lennon is all over the final track 'Timothy', again another ballad. There's another Beatles reference is the credits. Keyboard player Billy Preston was hired to play on three tracks for this record. Preston is the only person ever to share a performer credit on a Beatles records. The 1968 classic 'Get Back' was credited to The Beatles with Billy Preston. 'Radio Song' is a song they sing "won't be played on your radio". I'm betting it just might. The great thing about 'Get Born' is that there is something for every format and the softer adult stations could easily jump over this just as the intense 'Take It Or Leave It' is perfect for rock radio. I hope this isn't reading like I don't like this record. I really do … a lot. It's just not that original but again, neither were the first four Beatles and Stones records. "
