Do you all think George was really the Quiet One? I personally think that was a lame label.. He did seem to be more serious, and more pensive, most of the time...but I just hate those little names the press gave them

I think George should have been called "the Sweet One", because he was such a sweet man. He had great comments to press conference questions he was asked, so I wouldn't exactly call him "Quiet". He just sort of let the others do the answering, and when he was asked something, it was usually funny, or witty. Rest in Peace George

He didn't feel the need to be in the spotlight, which was so cool about him..

You'll find that I don't have an opinion on much of anything... Because though I know more than the average person, I don't know nearly as much as you guys...

I think George was kinda overshadowed by Paul and John and resented that a little... quote: "It was like having diarrhea and not being allowed to go to the toilet. I think a lot of people were surprised to see, 'Oh, he writes songs, too.'" He was only offered a couple or so songs on each Beatles album.

i love that quote of his ;D Yeah, I think he hit a high when Rubber Soul came along.. up until then, he had one or no songs of his own...then they starting letting him "come into his own".. some girl on a paul board said that george wasn't nearly a good a writer as paul & john i think all three were pretty equal.. (i mean, if you had to pick b/t driving rain & brainwashed) john & paul as a team together, tho, is another story.

funny george moment - look at the video clip for I Feel Fine www.beatles.com/html/ifeelfine/index.htmlGeorge's face is sooo funny! He's so "yes... soo... I'm singing into a boxing glove thingy...wtf"... and he says something too, can anyone make it out? lots of cute paulie/john moments in this too... paul makes a really cute chipmunk face at one point and bops his head... maybe signalling to ringo? then ringo bounds on at the end, lol.

I forgot who said this, but it's one of my favorite quotes about George:
"George wasn't the Quiet One.. he just didn't demand to be heard."
I think that sums him up pretty well.
