My friend and sister just mentioned that Kazaa was going to start to sue $150,000 per file you've downloaded. This was on the MTV and other news stations.
Is this true? What do you think?

Hmm... I just heard last night on CNN that the RIAA was going to go after people who were sharing a "substantial amout of music" and were going to sue as much as $150,000 for copyright infringement. Kazaa said it lost about 16% of its users after this, but none of the other file-sharing networks reported a drop in users.

Tis what I heard too  I'm not too worried, because I have the option checked to not share my files with other users ;D (I'm a greedy one, I know)...but if everyone starts doing that...  |

Maggie - go to Tools > Options > Traffic and check the 2nd box from the bottom: "Disable..."

That number doesn't matter, as far as I know. |
