Has anyone ever been to see the Bootleg Beatles (a tribute band, http://www.bootlegbeatles.com). I'm thinking about going to see them this December

I think I've heard of 'em; where do they perform? No one seems to ever come to Houston, Texas We don't have a BeatleFest, or an Abbey Road on the River type thing, either. Grr! That's cool that you might go see 'em!

The tourdates are here: www.bootlegbeatles.com/dates.htm - mostly places in the UK...the Queen booked them for her Jubilee! hehe... I think they've played in the US too. There are quotes about them on the site: "I'm gonna come to one of your gigs and heckle yah" - Sir Paul McCartney lol aww one from George too: "Where's the Bootleg Brian Epstein, cos he's got all the money" - George Harrison Can't wait! ;D

*bumps post back to top* heheh
weeeeeeell I went to see these guys on the 9th and OMG so much fun!!! I was hoarse the next day from all the singing! They played a ton of stuff (please please me --> let it be) including a live version of A Day In The Life (SO GOOD!) and Eleanor Rigby... I wanna hold your hand, she loves you, day tripper, hello goodbye, sgt pepper, strawberry fields, help, you've got to hide your love away, something, eleanor rigby, i feel fine, yellow submarine, while my guitar gently weeps, with a little help, yesterday, penny lane and about a million others that i cant remember... for the finale they played about half of abbey road! aaaaaand in the end! *sings* ooh and they made fun of oasis which was funny, and started playing "Stairway to Heaven" at one point... ooh and "John" was wearing a "Bliar" peace t-shirt (as in tony blair), heheh. The costumes were great... took lots of photos (24!) so will post them up here when i get them developed ;D

OMG! *jealousy* That sounds awesome! I've never seen any tribute band cover the later years. They've only played songs up to Revolver. I'd definitely love to see stuff from Sgt. Pepper onwards played. Can't wait to see the pictures!
