Have any of you ever written fanmail? I'm sorta thinking about writing to Paul... no idea what to say of course, lol...

Nope, I haven't. I think the last time I wrote real fanmail was in second grade to my favorite author at the time, Eric Carle. He sent a postcard back. I still have it around here somewhere. I say, send Paul a letter! A valentine, birthday greetings, maybe a bottle of wine. I've been thinking about writing Paul and Ringo lately as well. I also don't know what to write though, haha. At first I thought this topic was going to be about some of the positively zany letters the boys got back in the 60's. "Dear Ringo, I named my dog after you. Please send me some of your hair! Love, The Future Mrs. Starr."

Hey Paul/Macca/cute one/bringer of amazing music!
I've never written fanmail before and I'm not exactly sure how to go about it. But I'll have a bash...
Paul, YOU ROCK!
Love Zara xxx
lol... maybe a leeeetle tiny bit too short

That sounds like a good start! I wish I could give you some advice on what to add, but I'm just as clueless. *sigh* As I recall, it was A LOT easier to write that fanmail in second grade!

Eric Carle! Lol! He was great, wasn't he? I had that book about the little caterpillar who ate too much.. I thought this topic was going to be about those crazy letters, too. Haha, those are insane..the things they say..that would be funny if we saw one of our parent's letters in there or something.. ;D I've never written to Paul or Ringo, either, but I think I might one day..I wouldn't know what to say though, that hasn't been said already! Heh, I bet it would've been a lot easier to write letters in the 2nd grade! When I was younger I didn't really have qualms about sending out letters - I used to write letters to my mailman, trashman, neighbor..lol I say go for it though! Even if he doesn't read it, his assistant might send back a nice little Paul card or something!

you could write and say: Hey Paul I thought I'd write to you but can't think of anything that probablly hasn't been said...so I've decided not to write to you. lol ;D
