LOL I was thinking that too when I was there... the living there thing I mean... I saw Liverpool University and just thougt "dammit, I should've gone there!" heheh.. it's kinda similar to Glasgow in many ways anyway... and hellooo BEATLES!!! They have a Beatles festival week every August (I just missed it, grr!!) where everyone goes about in the streets dressed as Beatles, singing Beatles, and lots of tribute bands from all around come and put on concerts and stuff!

I went to your site and saw the pics - they're lovely! Thanks for letting us know about them There's a section with Beatley sights in Liverpool at Dark Horse, and I think I'll put a link on that page to your site, because your pics are really good! And I wanted to live in Liverpool for awhile, too.. Now I want to live in Scotland..Glasgow in particular, actually!

Actually, I haven't, (I've only been to England) but a couple a few houses down the street lived there until 15 years ago (and they're quite old, so they lived in Scotland for 50+ yrs) and they've told me really, really good things about it.. so I've been interested in it since as long as I can remember, really! I've also seen all these great pics (especially of Kintyre!)and *I know, I'm a nerd* kind of researched it for class and just on my own when I'm bored..and it helps that Paul lived in Scotland and wrote a song about it.. I also love the culture and the history..(the accents are nice too ) Do you like living there?

I like Glasgow for its shopping, going out, entertainment etc. It's a good place to be if you're a student (of which there are many! There are lots of universities and colleges - I'm going here www.gla.ac.uk in September)...

Ooh, that looks like a cool place! I haven't decided where I want to go for university - I think studying abroad for a semester or two would definitely be nice though..to get a feel for the country! Glasgow seems like a nice place..and I've heard really, really good things about Edinburgh (sp?) - is it really pretty?

Edinburgh's nice - it's slightly more touristy than Glasgow but I like it... cobbled streets, The Castle etc. all very quaint! It's a nice place for a day out (about an hour in the car from where I live). I like the shopping better in Glasgow tho, and entertainment.
One thing I have noticed about Edinburgh is that the Gregg's (the bakers) there do really amazing doughnuts (HUGE! v.chocolatey). The Glasgow Gregg's doughnuts are much smaller. Hmmm. Maybe they make them extra big for the tourists or something, lol. [/random thought]
