Anyone seen this? I put it on hold at the library. I didn't even know it was a film!

I didn't know either, at least..I don't recall hearing anything about it...does it have Beatle footage or is it actors playing them?

Not sure. I hope not actors though. I'll have to let you know when it comes in.

I saw a little blip about it on VH1, but I've never actually seen the film. It's supposedly horrendously bad. Basically, the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton decided to make a movie based around the story of the Sgt. Pepper album.... kind of like a "rock opera" interpretation of it, I guess. The Beatles weren't involved with it at all, but I think the movie's full of a ton of covers of their songs by the Bee Gees... I remember reading that Aerosmith do "Come Together."

*****SPOILERS!!!!!!*****
I've seen Sgt. Pepper a few times. I actually rather enjoyed it. Peter Frampton is Billy Sheers and The Bee Gees are the Hendersons ("the Herderson will all be there..."). Billy Sheers is Sgt. Peppers'd grandson or descendent (it's been a while since i saw it). Sgt. Pepper's instruments are stolen and a lot of different weird things happen. It's actually pretty interesting, especially seeing other artists playin Beatles songs. Earth, Wind, and Fire play "Gotta get You into my life", Billy Preston sings "Get Back", Alice Cooper does "Because", Steve Martin (love him) sings "Maxwell's Silver Hammer", and there are alot of others (including Areosmith). If you haven't seen it, you should. It's pretty good.
