Has anyone read this book...?
I read it for the first time a year and a half ago and have since worshiped it. It got me really interested in the geisha culture...now I'm sort of a geisha expert! Heehee.
Does anyone else like "Memoirs of a Geisha"? I highly recommend it.

I've heard of it -- but haven't read it. It seems very interesting.. The whole culture intrigues me too What is the book about, acually? A Japanese girl?

Yes, about a Japanese girl who becomes a geisha--which is, in a nutshell, a female Japanese entertainer/companion. You may have seen pictures of Japanese women with hair in elaborate styles and kimono, with white make-up. That's what they look like. Oh, by the way, my reaction to your icon--"EEEE!" Ha, I love me some Clay Aiken.

I love to read, so I'll have to check that book out when I go to the library in a few days It is a fictional tale, right? Oh, by the way, my reaction to your icon--"EEEE!" Ha, I love me some Clay Aiken. Woohoo! Another Clay fan! Isn't he great? I went out and bought his single on Tuesday..it's very nice!

Oh, I'd like to get it--I've heard it on the radio though.
Isn't it funny how he's selling more records than Ruben?

I've heard so much about that book! I've had two teachers who have vehemently recommended it and then the people who read it then come back and say how much they loved the book. I'm not sure why, but I never actually read it, lol. I'll definitely have to check it out though. For real, this time

I read it a couple weeks ago when I was on holiday... it's a great book, very well researched and written ... it reads like a biography.
