Left In The Dark?

Just wondering if anyone here lost their power on Thursday afternoon as part of that massive blackout? My power went off when it happened, but it came back right away and then flickered off and on again (it was weird). All I know is it would have been no fun to be without power. Hope everyone else was all right!

Oooh, not I! I know Bridget (StrawberryFields) was (she lives in NY).. I'm way down in Texas so luckily I didn't experience any of that! Wow, though.. I would've been bored out of my mind if that happened. And dying of heat to boot

Ours didn't, which is weird because I'm in New York and evryone around us didn't have any but in our little hick town we had power.

I wondered if G did, I was worried about her.

Her power did go out But, I think it came on in the morning or so? Still, I get irritated when my power goes out for even 10 minutes or so. I can't imagine it going out for the whole night, and then some! Especially in August

Yuck... yeah, it's been really hot here lately. Our air conditioner's broken though. My mom doesn't want to have it fixed because then she'll be too tempted to use it and our electric rates are already through the roof... they're one of the highest in the country, I think. We have like 5 fans though

I hope G was all right though. I also can't imagine what that would have been like. It was weird to see all those satellite and aerial photos of NYC during the blackout. It was definitely good to hear that people handled it so well though.
