Generally thought of as a rocker,i think John wrote some of the greatest ballads with the Beatles and Solo. Here are my top 5.(In no particular order) BEATLES 1. If i fell. 2. Julia. 3. I`ll be back. 4. In my life. 5. Girl. SOLO 1. Love. 2. Jealous guy. 3. Woman. 4. Oh my love. 5. I know(I know).

That's a very good list! I'll have to think about this for a bit before I decide.. I love Imagine & Isolation, though

Good list. The first ones I thought of were Julia and If I Fell. It's funny that people think of John as the rocker and Paul as the softy- when John has all those songs on your list, and Paul has stuff like I'm Down, Helter Skelter, and so many more.

Exactly! It proves just how much they can't be put into one category, which is so cool

Beatles: 1) In My Life 2) Julia!!! 3) If I Fell 4) I'll Be Back 5) It's Only Love Solo: 1) Love 2) Jealous Guy 3) Mother 4) Imagine 5) Woman (In my highly informed and educated opinion, seeing as I've only heard the songs on "Lennon Legend" ) "Julia" and "Love" both make me melt. That's the only word in the English language I've come up with that describes it!
